The New Technology Initiative helps micro, small and medium businesses improve their environmental performance and their company’s profitability.
The programme is designed to enable businesses take advantage of new equipment, to learn about new processes and to work with further and higher education professionals who can provide
The New Technology Initiative (NTI) is working with Universities and Further Education Colleges in the region to provide training to employees and technical assistance to improve environment and energy performance.
Who is eligible for the grant?
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within the East MIdlands may be eligible for a grant of up to £5,000 if they are purchasing environmental and energy technology that will help to reduce their environmental impact.

What will it cost you?
- Enrolment of a minimum of one person from your business on a relevant NTI course. This will cost you nothing if you are based in an objective 2 or a transitional area
- A minimum of 50% contribution to the equipment purchase and installation cost
