"...more than a certificate to hang on the wall"
"It is a significant achievement for any organisation to be certified to ISO 14001 but for the Institute it means much more than a certificate to hang on the wall. For a start, it represents part of our core set of values AND our core business activity too, since we are encouraging others to follow the same route towards excellence.
We can also offer true sympathy to those companies we are helping because we have been through the same rigorous process and we understand the hard work it can take sometimes to achieve these high standards."

Leading by example
This award makes Nottingham Trent University one of only four Higher Education Institutions in the UK to have at least one department holding this prestigious standard.
The ISO certification cites the role of the Institute as “Promotion and support of sustainable development and environmental excellence in business” – a role which the organisation is more than happy to take on board as it moves into the next phase of its development.
