Expo 2005 - "....a great success"
Pride Park Stadium was the venue for the reion's largest expo on Sustainable Development and the Environment this year which took place on 29th September 2005.
The event organised by the EIForum, the Regional Assembly, and Government Office was attended by over 500 delegates and boasted over 70 stands.

Climate Change Theme
The theme of Expo2005 was Climate Change and as well as the stands, attendees were able to take advantage of many free workshops and seminars.
The event was an excellent showcase for the Region's richly diverse and vibrant Environmental Goods and Services Sector and demonstrated how vital this sector is to the Region's economy.

Who was there
Those Exhibiting were from a wide spectrm - manufacturers, consultants, social enterprises, university departments, research organisations and local government bodies - and this wide range represented the level of activity that is taking place in the Region.
EIForum brought vitality and business discipline to the mix which was vital in ensuring the success of the Expo. Plans are already afoot to follow up with an even bigger Expo next year.
